ALPHARETTA, Georgia – DOLMAR announces its sponsorship of the Game of Logging organization for the 2009 season! Since its founding over eighty years ago, DOLMAR has worked closely with property, land, and forest managers to provide the best equipment for those applications. About Game of Logging (GOL)
Game of Logging (GOL) is a competitive response training program that was developed by Soren Eriksson of Sweden. GOL focuses on the safe manual felling of trees while improving productivity. The program covers developing a felling plan that includes directional felling, proper notching, planning an escape route and overall hazard awareness, among other topics. It is a nationally recognized logger safety program. The program features four levels of hands-on, in the woods instruction for chainsaw users from the collegiate to the professional logger level. The instruction is presented by 11 certified trainings organizations in the northeast, mid Atlantic and central states regions.
